2023-ILC-01 PCR-based proficiency test

Objectives of the 2023 Inter Laboratory Comparison test are:

- to assess the competency of participants to detect EU regulated parasites Marteilia refringens, Bonamia ostreae and Bonamia exitiosa by PCR in flat oysters.

- to evaluate the reproducibility of two real-time PCR assays developed by the EURL for the detection of those parasites

The test included a set of 24 samples of genomic DNA and a set 6 tubes of tissues of flat oysters .

Samples were sent on the 8th of March 2023. Participants had one month to report their results.

In total, 17 laboratories participated in this ILC test.
